About Us
I am Dr. Nil Sirel Öztürk.
After completing twenty years of experience in customs and earning the Assistant Customs Broker License and ÜDY3 (Upper-Level Executive Certificate), I embarked on a journey from professional practice to academic theory.
Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor at Trakya University, Keşan Yusuf Çapraz School of Applied Sciences, where I teach Customs Turkish Customs, Tariff Schedule, Secondary Legislation, and Maritime Law Combining my extensive field experience with an academic perspective, I aim not only to explain the customs legislation itself but also to reveal the economic, legal, and social dynamics behind it.
My research focuses on international economics, green trade, sustainable development, protectionist policies, and customs law. In addition to my academic work, I also conduct research-based evaluations, consultancy, and expert opinions in the areas of customs procedures, trade policies, and legal interpretations.
This platform is a personal space where I share my academic work, reflections on current developments in the customs world, and occasionally, notes from everyday life.
